Finally i got that damn HP monitor mentioned in the previous entry. also some Gitzos are somewhere out there enjoying the shipping services to the full. No money - no problems that is.

Correction: Well, actually there are a few tiny whiny almost nonexistent problems left tho. One - it is always a good idea to pay the utility/rent bills first. and Two - buying up containerloads of the expensive junk in no way guarantees the return of the dreaded "creative drive", eh. Those are not included with the shipments, naturally. Who would have known that! Oh those cheating bastards..

As for the screen, i ran a calibration spider on it first, and now after a few initial days of usage i can say that it, well, does actually work To my surprise i did recognize my familiar desktop palette, and colors of some well known pieces too. By any means it can't be considered perfect (still slight banding issues in the lower/mid grays) and i sometimes feel like im watching a tennis match close from a center line, but all in all it seems to be one of the first flat panels that seem to be actually usable.
